Its signature elements, such as the oversized junkyard set, expressive choreography, and whimsical costumes, have helped define its legacy. The musical’s standout number, “Memory,” remains one of the most recognisable songs in the genre, performed by countless artists across generations.

Bringing the production to Abu Dhabi marks a milestone for the region’s theatre scene. Organisers emphasise that the arrival of CATS reflects a shared commitment to elevating live entertainment and introducing audiences to world‑class productions.

Strengthening Abu Dhabi’s Cultural Landscape

The debut of CATS aligns with Abu Dhabi’s broader vision to position itself as a global destination for arts and entertainment. Etihad Arena has become central to this growth, hosting everything from major concerts to large‑scale theatrical productions. With CATS joining the 2026 schedule, the venue continues to diversify its offerings and attract audiences from across the region.

For families, theatre lovers, and newcomers to the musical, the Abu Dhabi run offers a rare chance to experience a production that has shaped modern musical theatre. Its mix of storytelling, movement, and visual spectacle makes it accessible to all ages.
