All roads will soon be leading to Yas Island!
You may have heard of a brand new arena that will soon be opening up at the Yas Bay development.
We can now confirm that the large-scale, multi-purpose venue has been officially named as The Etihad Arena with the national airline of UAE having secured naming rights.
The massive entertainment venue will host all kinds of events after its launch-which means you can look forward to a lot more gigs taking place on the island pretty soon!
With a capacity to accommodate up to 18,000 people, The Etihad Arena will be managed by Flash Entertainment for events such as concerts, sports competitions, cultural events, etc.
While a launch date is yet to be announced, Yas Bay will be opening up in 2020 and will feature 15,000 residences and a Hilton hotel.
“It’s an honor to partner with an Abu Dhabi institution such as Miral on this joint venture, that will further promote Abu Dhabi and Yas Island as a hub for entertainment, tourism and culture,” said Tony Douglas, group CEO of Etihad Aviation Group.
