Setting the tone of the next generation’s music scene, HYPE is the unapologetic playground where music, fashion and design meet to create the ultimate fest experience. Set the date on Saturday 5th of November with global electronic DJ producers, Claptone, Joris Voorn, Mambo Brothers and many more taking the stage.
Pique your curiosity at this electronic music extravaganza with the backdrop of the thrilling racetrack at the open air venue Palm Garden at W Abu Dhabi – Yas Island. The momentum will build throughout the day starting with several local artists from Alex Twin, Darko De Jan, Jixo & Danz, Xavi Emparan and Victhor along with unexpected surprises that will spark up the day and light up the night. Starting from 3 PM, expect an array of glitzy holographic attributes as this 360 event, filled with eclectic experiences, in HYPE style.
A bird-like shape emerged from wooden darkness, floating, dreaming and fluttering. Backlit by a bright glow of iridescent light, the undecipherable form wears a dazzling golden mask. Its long beak swooped down like an inverted horn and since then, people have referred to the mythical being simply as Claptone.
This mysterious DJ and music producer began his journey in 2012 and has been sending people into a frenzy with his DJ sets ever since. He has played in clubs worldwide, buying his own immersive and otherworldly “The Masquerade” events in 2017 in various locations around the world. In terms of studio work in the last year, Claptone has served up plenty of stylish remixes of huge and influential artists like Depeche Mode, Disclosure, and more. Fans can look forward to the likes of “No Eyes”, “Stronger” and “Just a Ghost” when this illusive and incredible DJ spins the decks.
A futuristic modern-art-meets-tech touring artist whose feet are firmly planted in the world of underground techno, Joris Voorn. Joris sits at the epicentre of the Dutch electronic music scene and is one of the Netherlands’ most celebrated international touring acts. In his illustrious career to date, Joris has released four highly acclaimed artist albums to mention a few, ‘Future History’ (released on Sino in 2004), ‘and the most recent ‘Four’ in 2019 which features an array of stunning collaborations including one with UK dance royalty Underworld.
His unique style has also led to many high-profile remix requests with a diverse list of collaborators from global superstar Dua Lipa to cult indie songwriter White Cliffs. An immaculate artist who stands alone in his unique ability to weave underground sounds with carefully placed moments of melody – he lives behind the decks – but never forgets the education he gladly received on the dancefloor.
Christian and Alan Anadon, better known as The Mambo Brothers, are two Ibicenco brothers and the sons of the founders of the iconic Café Mambo Ibiza. They have spent the last few years travelling the world with their music, establishing themselves as international artists with a busy schedule of appearances at the most prestigious clubs around the planet as well as some of the best festivals including Glastonbury, We Are FSTVL, Defected Croatia, Tinderbox, Corona Sunsets India, and Tomorrowland where the duo hosted their very own Café Mambo stage. More recently, they have featured regularly on the line ups for some of the biggest brands in electronic music: Defected, Abode, Elrow and Pure Pacha, taking them from Amsterdam to London.
